Alan R. Fowler, CMB, is the Founder and President of Fowler Financial Education and Consulting, LLC, where he has provided NMLS education and general training and consulting services since 2009. Previously, Alan has been Executive Vice President of MBSI Lending and First Mortgage Company, LLC. For 31 Years, Alan was with Suburban Mortgage Company of New Mexico, holding positions in servicing, production and secondary marketing before serving a 12-year stint as President in 1999.

Mr. Fowler is a 1989 graduate of MBA's School of Mortgage Banking and attained the Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) designation in 1996. He has a BBA in Finance from the University of New Mexico.

Mr. Fowler was the 2011 Chairman of the Certified Mortgage Bankers Society of America and is the Past President of the American Alliance for Loan Management. He was the 1992 and 2013 President and is a 20-year board member of the New Mexico Mortgage Lenders Association and serves as MBA's Ambassador for New Mexico. He is also a past member of the Fannie Mae Mortgage Bankers Advisory Board, Community Lending Roundtable and Secondary Market Advisory Committee, and has served on various MBA committees.

He is a Master Faculty Fellow for MBA's School of Mortgage Banking, an original NMLS certified Education Provider and is a certified instructor of Realtor Continuing Education for several state Real Estate Commissions. Alan has provided over 2,000 hours of SAFE Act training to thousands of Loan Originators and has trained thousands of other mortgage, Real Estate and affiliated industry professionals in the U.S and around the world for national, regional, local and governmental entities. Mr. Fowler is the Chairman of the New Mexico Small Business Investment Corporation and is a past Chairman of the City of Albuquerque's Affordable Housing Committee and the Land Title Trust Fund.  He works with several community, tribal and non-profit organizations that provide affordable housing opportunities to under-served populations, acting as a trainer and speaker for home-buyer education programs.
