Mortgage Credit Risk Index and Mortgage Redtail Risk Index: The Smith Enterprise Risk Consortium (SERC) at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business developed a pair of mortgage credit risk indexes to inform on changes in credit risk of GSE-eligible mortgages. The MCRI measures the expected 3-5-year default risk of loans sold to Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae.

Builder Application Survey (BAS) Historical Indexes: Contains monthly builder application survey index data which tracks monthly changes in applications for lenders affiliated with or who work in cooperation with home builders. This survey is entirely focused on new home sales activity. Monthly data starts in 2012 through the most recent available month.
Mortgage Credit Availability Index (MCAI) Historical Data and Charts: A barometer on the availability or supply of mortgage credit at a point in time, using criteria from institutional investors who purchase loans through the broker and/or correspondent channels. Historical data from 2011 through the most recent available month.  
State Monthly Application Report (SMAR): By state, tracks monthly and annual application changes by purpose (purchase versus refinance) with breakdowns by amortization (fixed versus ARM) and average loan size data.
