Executive Certificate in Residential Real Estate Finance

The Mortgage Banking Bound Executive Certificate program is designed for schools who want to offer, and for students who want to receive, a complete look at the residential loan lifecycle and the associated career opportunities. Taught by industry professionals who are experts in their respective areas, this program can be offered either in-person or virtually, and can include a mix of asynchronous self-paced training to supplement the live sessions. Students will walk away with a well-rounded understanding of loan production, regulatory compliance, loan servicing, capital markets, and everything in between. 

This program is currently being offered at Barry University and Middle Tennessee State University.  

Stackable Certificates & Access to Virtual, Instructor-Led Programming

Colleges and universities can offer the Level I certificate programs for MBA Education's:

• Residential Loan Processor (RLP)
• Certified Residential Underwriter (CRU)
• Residential Certified Mortgage Servicer (RCMS)
• Certified Mortgage Compliance Professional (CMCP)

Students can take this coursework in addition to their other college coursework and receive both the Level I certificate from MBA and a digital credential. This program is currently offered at Metropolitan State University - Denver.

Accredited Undergraduate Courses

MBA has launched a three-credit hour undergraduate course on residential loan origination and processing at both Cleveland State University and Louisiana State University. Taught by loan officers, MI professionals, and other mortgage production staff, this class will help students understand what it takes to be an effective and competent loan officer, and will help expand their professional network should they look to pursue a career in mortgage production.

Commercial/Multifamily Training

The Mortgage Banking Bound program has partnered with The University of Denver and The University of San Diego to offer our 3-day School of Multifamily Mortgage Banking to undergraduate and graduate students. As with all other Mortgage Banking Bound programs, this class is taught by experts in their respective areas. This offering complements the real estate programs at the Burns School of Real Estate at DU, ensuring that students understand what careers may be available in multifamily mortgage banking and are able to meet local industry professionals.
