The Education Networking Group (ENG) brings together industry professionals from both Commercial/Multifamily and Single-Family member companies who oversee or have a hand in employee learning and development. Discussions will center around best-practices in training and development, tools and technology that can help drive your training initiatives forward, and ways to think about budgeting and resourcing your professional development efforts.

Residential Education Networking Group Co-Chairs:

Elizabeth got her start in financial services in the credit industry, with nearly 15 years in sales and leadership over the Central Florida market. In her time with Credit Data Services and Experian, she honed her technical and communication skills and discovered the power of education in reaching business objectives.
Elizabeth is now the Assistant Vice President of National Training with DHI Mortgage, the lending arm of D.R. Horton, America’s #1 Builder. Combining her business acumen and higher education specialization, she leads her team in delivering best-in-class training, such as new hire orientation, origination and processing systems, mortgage mastery for recent college grads, sales and communication, advanced leadership skills, and loan product launches.

Commercial/Multifamily Education Networking Group Co-Chairs:

Brad Barnett is a veteran of the commercial real estate finance industry, working alongside teams in production, servicing, corporate operations, and marketing. Brad is currently the Tax Team Lead with Colliers Mortgage and previously worked with Grandbridge Real Estate Capital in various roles. An active member of the MBA, Brad serves in various committees and groups, is a graduate of the MBA Future Leader’s Program in 2022 and the former Co-Chair of the Future Leaders Alumni Council. Outside of the industry, Brad is an Advocate with Breakthrough T1D and its efforts to expand T1D research and insulin affordability. Brad received his undergraduate degree from St. Andrews Presbyterian College, and his MBA from the University of Liverpool.

Mark Bittenbender is a 20 year real estate industry veteran with experience in real estate brokerage, asset management, development, and finance. Mark is currently Senior Vice President and Market Director for Greysteel, a national real estate services firm. In this role Mark leads the firm’s national training and professional development program as well as leading Greysteel’s Debt & Structured Finance practice. An active member of MBA, Mark graduated from John Carroll University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and received his master’s degree in real estate finance from Georgetown University. Outside of work, Mark is a supporter of So Others Might Eat and Capital Area Food Bank.
Get Involved
The goal of each committee is to come together 4-5 times per year, through a mix of in-person and online meetings. In addition, the committee will leverage MBA’s Community platform to collaborate and post relevant information in between meetings.
