Amy Swaney, CMB, started in the mortgage business when she was 19. After building a successful career as a loan officer, she was selected in 2002 for the MBA Future Leader's program which sparked her passion for legislative and regulatory involvement.
Swaney served as the 2006 President of the Arizona Mortgage Lenders Association (AMLA) and has also led the AMLA's advocacy efforts as its Legislative Chair.
She is the 2013-2014 Chairperson of the Mortgage Action Alliance and speaks nationally to real estate, title and legal groups on topics ranging from legislation, industry education and regulatory changes. Additionally, Swaney has served six years on the MORPAC steering committee, a leadership subset for MBA's political action committee.
Swaney is proud to be a Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) and feels that her clients are earned by her knowledge and experience of the business as a loan officer. Her day-to-day focus is still growing and managing her own multimillion dollar production pipeline with her business partner at Citywide Home Loans.
After a recent 18 month battle with breast cancer, she also recognizes the importance of her personal time with her family experiencing life. Besides fundraising for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Amy and her husband, PJ, spend time together raising their four children.
