Blake Chavis

Blake Chavis is VP, Associate General Counsel for Flagstar Bank, N.A., one of the country’s largest bank originators of residential mortgage loans. In this role, Blake advises on legal and compliance matters in support of the bank’s retail, wholesale and warehouse mortgage lending activities. Before Flagstar, Blake spent four years as Associate Regulatory Counsel with the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), where he supported MBA’s legislative and regulatory strategy on a broad array of issues impacting mortgage lenders. Prior to joining the MBA, Blake worked as a District Examiner with the National Credit Union Administration. Blake received his bachelor’s degree from Miami University and his J.D. degree from University of Louisville School of Law.
