Justin Wiseman is Vice President and Managing Regulatory Counsel in the Public Policy and Industry Relations department at the Mortgage Bankers Association. Justin manages MBA’s Regulatory Policy team that covers legal issues, trends in litigation, regulatory compliance matters, and servicing as well as provides strategic direction to advance MBA member priorities on regulatory and legal matters. This team also analyzes pending rules and legislation, provides comments on behalf of MBA members on pending rules or regulations and helps develops MBA’s posture towards innovation and innovation policy. Prior to this, he staffed MBA’s Loan Administration committee, providing policy development insights and working with stakeholders to advocate on behalf of the industry.

Prior to joining Orrick, John was a partner at Buckley LLP, which he joined after 15 years in federal government service as a litigator and advisor to senior policymakers, most recently as Deputy General Counsel for Litigation and Oversight at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. He joined the CFPB soon after its creation in 2010 and was one of a core group of attorneys tasked with interpreting the authorities granted to the agency by the Consumer Financial Protection Act of 2010 and establishing the procedures by which the agency exercises those authorities. He was the first person to appear in court on behalf of the CFPB and was involved in every significant litigation matter in the agency’s history prior to his departure. As Deputy General Counsel, he managed the team of attorneys responsible for representing the Bureau in litigation, including appellate matters, and before congressional oversight bodies.
Mitch is the Chairman and Managing Partner of Weiner Brodsky Kider PC. He represents banks, mortgage companies, residential homebuilders, real estate settlement service providers, credit card issuers, and other financial service companies in a broad range of matters. As a litigator, Mitch has defended clients in more than 150 class action lawsuits in federal and state courts throughout the country. He also advises clients on federal and state regulatory compliance matters. He represents clients in investigations and enforcement actions before the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Department of Housing and Urban Development, Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Justice, Federal Trade Commission, Ginnie Mae, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and various state and local regulatory authorities and Attorneys General offices. In addition, Kider acts as outside general counsel to smaller companies and special regulatory and litigation counsel to Fortune 500 companies. He has written extensively on issues involving lenders and other settlement service providers and speaks frequently on regulatory and litigation matters before trade associations and other industry groups.
Mr. Previn has extensive experience representing financial institutions in a wide range of regulatory examinations, investigations, and enforcement actions brought by myriad federal and state government agencies, including the CFPB, OCC, FDIC, FRB, DOJ, FTC, HUD, and state attorneys general and state banking regulators. In addition, he counsels banks and nonbank financial services companies on consumer finance issues, and advises boards and executive management on regulatory expectations, new products and services, and corporate governance. He also defends financial services companies in consumer class actions around the country. During his more than two decades of practice, he has represented many of the country’s leading financial services companies in precedent- setting matters.
Nanci Weissgold co-chairs Alston & Bird's Financial Services & Products Group. She maintains a national regulatory compliance practice representing consumer financial products and services providers on federal, state, and agency requirements, including valuation and mortgage lending and servicing.
