Lanique Eubanks
Lanique Eubanks is a Senior Counsel in the Office of Regulations at the CFPB. Lanique has worked as the team lead on rulemakings and projects re the 10-Year review of Regulation Z’s Loan Originator Rule (LO Rule), LIBOR transition consistent with the federal LIBOR Act, FCRA involving human trafficking and medical debt. She serves as the office staff contact for the SAFE Act and LO Rule and provides interpretive guidance on Regulation Z mortgage matters (ATR, points/fees & TRID) and RESPA. Before 2021, Lanique worked in Supervision where she provided legal advice to CFPB examiners and assisted in the selection process of financial institutions to be examined and implementing supervisory strategies. Prior to this, she practiced financial services law for several years in the private sector.
