Tara Pettersen has over twenty five years of mortgage banking experience holding numerous roles in Operations, Compliance, and Risk. Tara joined CMG in 2014 and is currently Chief Risk and Compliance Office. As CRCO, Tara oversees Compliance, Licensing, Quality Control, Retail Partnerships, Vendor Management, Fraud, External Exam, Audits and due diligence, and functionally oversees Internal Audit.

Chava Brandriss represents financial institutions against claims by consumers, advocates during government enforcement actions and investigations, and navigates clients through the maze of federal and state laws regulating consumer financial services. Through her highly specialized expertise, Chava positions clients to avoid future risk and minimize potential exposure. Chava leads the mortgage and home lending practice within DWT’s banking and financial services group. Drawing from her career-long focus on the residential mortgage lending and servicing industry following the 2008 financial crisis and rise of the CFPB, she brings to her clients a deep knowledge of issues ranging from fair lending, fair housing and fair servicing, to default servicing and loss mitigation, investor and agency rules, and the TILA/Regulation Z, RESPA/Regulation X, and other requirements unique to residential mortgage lending and servicing.
Andrew Glass is a partner at K&L Gates LLP. He advises businesses in achieving integrated, multi-disciplinary solutions to managing risk. Mr. Glass directs project teams to work closely with clients’ business lines, and their legal, compliance, and information technology professionals, in navigating complex regulatory areas. Mr. Glass provides regulatory-compliance advice and policy review. He oversees audits and internal investigations and responds to government investigations. Mr. Glass defends high-profile class action litigation. He counsels companies in the financial services, energy, media and telecommunications, manufacturing, and consumer product industries. His multi-faceted approach to problem-solving delivers seamless solutions to clients’ legal challenges.
Jonice Gray is Chair of the Consumer Financial Services practice at Paul Hastings. She specializes in work with banks, non-bank financial institutions, and other companies providing financial products and services. She works with many of the largest bank and non-bank financial institutions, emerging companies such as fintechs, and retailers whose business operations include consumer and small business finance. Her work is focused on high-stakes legal proceedings, including matters initiated by federal and state regulators, private civil litigation, and internal investigations. She also counsels clients on compliance with consumer protection laws. She routinely provides strategic advice to senior corporate leaders, including Boards of Directors, as they navigate complex, and often unexpected, business and legal challenges. She is the Immediate Past Chair of the American Bar Association’s Banking Law Committee and an Independent Director with Marriott Vacations Worldwide. She holds a B.A. from the University of Virginia and J.D. from Yale University.
Caroline Stapleton advises financial institutions in federal and state regulatory compliance, supervision and enforcement matters. Client-centered experiences are at the heart of Caroline’s practice. She has provided a wide variety of institutions, from fintech startups to multinational banks, with tailored, practical guidance that considers each company’s unique characteristics and strategic goals. Caroline draws on her prior experiences as an attorney at a federal prudential regulator and as the head of compliance at a consumer finance company to give clients a comprehensive picture of the legal risks and opportunities each new matter presents.
