Michael Egan has focused on cyber/data/privacy issues in the areas of technology, innovation, retail and consumer solutions, life sciences, manufacturing, financial services, and healthcare since 2007. He advises clients on all legal aspects of global privacy and data protection, data security, data breach, information technology, and related restrictions on data collection and transfer. Egan has represented companies before numerous government agencies and bodies, including the US Federal Trade Commission, the US Department of Justice, and the US Securities and Exchange Commission, as well as data protection authorities around the world, regarding disclosure of data security compliance issues, internal investigation findings, remediation measures and settlement terms. Egan’s practice focuses primarily on the ever-changing privacy and security regulatory landscape faced by companies in the US and globally. He also advises companies on how best to address the requirements related to personal data, consumer protection, data security and breach preparation and response, cookies and marketing, cross-border data flows, e-monitoring, eDiscovery procedures, outsourcing, social media, and other privacy-related issues.
Chris Hilliard is the Chief Executive Officer of Winnow. He is a Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) and a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) with over 20 years of industry experience in consumer, commercial, residential mortgage lending, and general banking legal and compliance management. His experience includes executive, senior management, and mid-level management positions at major financial institutions and lenders, including online and startup platforms.
Kim Phan counsels clients on privacy and data security law in areas including the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), and other federal and state privacy and data security statutes and regulations, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Her work in this area encompasses strategic planning and guidance for companies to incorporate privacy and data security considerations throughout product development, marketing, and implementation. She also assists companies with data breach prevention and response, including establishing effective data security programs prior to a breach and the assessment of breach response obligations following a breach.
Kody Shipley is a Senior Manager in PwC’s Banking Transformation practice where he specializes in Mortgage Compliance, Risk Management and Technology. He built the foundations of his career in the mortgage industry working in originations and servicing, ultimately becoming an operations leader at a top IMB. Kody brought his deep knowledge to PwC where has become a trusted advisor to top banking and mortgage clients over the course of his 8 years with PwC.
