Owen Lee is the 2025 MBA Vice Chair and Chief Executive Officer at Success Mortgage Partners, Inc., (SMP). He co-founded the company with his father, Vincent, in 2002. Under his leadership, SMP has closed billions of dollars of mortgage loans yearly since 2016, is licensed in 42 states, and has more than 600 employees. Lee is also a Managing Member of Title Partners, LLC, a full-service title insurance and escrow services agency. An active leader in the mortgage and financial services sectors, Lee serves on MBA’s Board of Directors, is Co-Chair of its Independent Mortgage Bankers Executive Council, and is currently the 2023-2024 Chairman of MORPAC, MBA’s political action committee, where he has been a successful political fundraiser, helping to advance the association’s top legislative priorities.

Bill Cosgrove is the president and chief executive officer of Union Home Mortgage, a high-growth, full-service retail, wholesale and consumer direct independent mortgage banking company. Mr. Cosgrove has accrued more than 35 years of mortgage banking industry experience since the beginning of his career in 1986 as a residential loan officer. He later joined Union Home Mortgage in 1994 and became its sole owner in 1999. As a result of Mr. Cosgrove’s leadership, Union Home Mortgage has experienced incredible growth, expanding from two branches and 35 Partners in 1999, to 165 branches and more than 1,900 Partners nationwide. Mr. Cosgrove has developed a culture and operating philosophy that grew the company from its humble roots in Cleveland, to a nationally-acclaimed mortgage bank. From the onset of his career, Mr. Cosgrove has developed a reputation as one of the leading innovators for the mortgage banking industry in Northeast Ohio and the country. In addition to his responsibilities as president and chief executive officer of Union Home Mortgage, Mr. Cosgrove also served as the Ohio Mortgage Bankers Association (OMBA) president in 2007 and the national chairman of the Mortgage Banker Association (MBA) in 2015, making him the first professional in Ohio history to serve in both capacities. Mr. Cosgrove also founded the MBA Independent Mortgage Bankers Conference in 2012. Mr. Cosgrove’s advocacy for mortgage banking is well evidenced by requests to testify before Congress as an expert in the mortgage lending industry. He has given testimony before the House Financial Services and Senate Banking Committees in Washington, D.C. as well as the Ohio House of Representatives. Mr. Cosgrove was awarded the Mortgage Bankers Association’s Andy Woodard Distinguished Service Award in 2016, the highest recognition an individual member of the MBA can receive. Mr. Cosgrove is proud to have been inducted into the Bedford, Ohio High School Distinguished Hall of Fame for his mortgage banking accomplishments. Mr. Cosgrove was named a “40 Under 40” executive by Crain’s Cleveland Business. Mr. Cosgrove is an engaged member of the Northeast Ohio community, serving on the board of directors for the Greater Cleveland Partnership and the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission, Playhouse Square Foundation and the world- famous Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum.
American Pacific Mortgage Chairman Bill Lowman began his career with APM in 2002. Bill served as President from 2004 to 2016 and as CEO from 2016 to 2023, moving to the Chairman role in November 2023. As Chairman, Bill's focus is on APM’s strategic direction, balance sheet and P and L management, key counter-party relationships, M and A activity, and his work on the Board of Directors of the Mortgage Bankers Association and the California Mortgage Bankers Association. Under Bill’s leadership as CEO, American Pacific Mortgage realized record production, achieved a gender-balanced executive leadership team and helped convert the company to a 49% employee stock ownership plan. In addition to his career highlights, Bill has been a longtime advocate for the mortgage industry and has held many leadership roles throughout his professional career. Bill served as the Chairman of the California Mortgage Bankers Association (2020–2021), sits on the Board of Directors of the Mortgage Bankers Association, serves on the Residential Board of Governors for MBA, and is part of the Affordable Homeownership Advisory Council tasked with tackling the challenges of affordable housing in our country. Bill holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration on finance from the State University of New York at Fredonia.
