Servicing in the Mortgage Lending Process begins with an overview of the functions and players in mortgage lending, examining the role of servicing within the overall lending process. Next, it examines participants in the mortgage lending industry, looking at types of mortgage specialists and various players in the lending process. This includes mortgage bankers, correspondents, brokers, wholesaler/aggregators, and conduits and their typical roles in the industry.

From there the course will look at players involved at all phases of the lending cycle that play a role related to one or more activities such as finding the home to purchase, finding the money to finance the home, protecting the investment, servicing the mortgage loan, and secondary marketing.

Finally, the course focuses on loan servicing's (also referred to as loan administration) role in mortgage lending and ways it remains profitable.

This is a single-family/residential course.
