The Commercial Certified Mortgage Servicing (CCMS) designation is a symbol of professionalism and commitment to servicing and recognizes a thorough understanding of the changing, complex and challenging commercial/multifamily mortgage servicing industry. CCMS designees demonstrate high levels of achievement and command respect due to their professional accomplishments, as well as their unparalleled knowledge.
Candidate Profile
Commercial Certified Mortgage Servicer (CCMS) designees must have a thorough understanding of commercial/multifamily real estate and mortgage fundamentals, including lending, underwriting, closing, servicing, asset management, valuation and default management. A command of legal and regulatory requirements, market behaviors and operations is also required.
All commercial and multifamily servicing professionals including, but not limited to, those in the following roles:
- Loan Administration Professionals
- Default Administration Professionals
- Customer Service Professionals
- Service Providers Servicing
- Industry Vendors
- Servicing Management
The Path
The three main categories for earning qualification points include industry participation, education, and commercial/multifamily real estate experience. Additional considerations include a candidate’s commitment to the industry, participation in MBA conferences, working groups and councils, and knowledge of the issues facing the industry. - Level II (optional): $650
- Designation Application Fee: $400
- Designation Prep Course Enrollment, and Written and Oral Exam Fee: $800
- Total (including Level I and II) $2,400
