About the Event

Underwriting Multifamily and Valuation is designed to help participants understand the basic concepts of underwriting a multifamily property. This course reviews the types of multifamily and the various lending platforms that finance multifamily, how multifamily income and expenses are derived, and how multifamily real estate is valued. The course concludes with a discussion of common multifamily lending risks and risk mitigators. Participants have the opportunity to analyze economic and demographic data on a sample market and recommend the market for lending on multifamily property. Participants also learn how to project income and expenses, derive value, and evaluate a multifamily loan proposal to a lender.
