Gary T. Amey

Gary Amey serves as Executive Vice President and Managing Director of FHA Multifamily Underwriting Team at Dwight Capital. He has 20 years of experience in the real estate industry, with a vast knowledge of multifamily financing and development. Overall, Gary has overseen or been directly involved with the underwriting of approximately 400 transactions totaling $8 Billion in closed HUD/FHA Multifamily Accelerated Processing (MAP) insured loans in 48 states. Furthermore, Gary serves as the Co-Chair of the MBA FHA Committee’s Green MIP Working Group, a task force of MAP lender stakeholders and third-party energy professionals. The Green MIP Working Group assists HUD in formulating and addressing program policy issues designed to meet HUD’s goals for providing sustainable, energy-efficient and resilient multifamily housing units. In his role at Dwight Capital, Gary has overseen nearly 300 HUD-insured transactions that have successfully participated in HUD’s Gren MIP Program. It is also worth noting that Gary has been recognized by Home Innovation Labs as a National Green Building Standards (NGBS) Partner of Excellence in 2022 and 2023. Gary graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Minor in Business Administration.
