Chartered Realty Investor (CRI) Designation
The Chartered Realty Investor® (CRI®)
designation is the only designation that brings together all aspects of the commercial/multifamily real estate finance, investment, and advisory industries. Earning the CRI designation distinguishes you as a leader in your industry and signifies that
you have the knowledge, education, and ethical conduct required in today's complex marketplace.
The CRI exam is a purely real estate designation which applies at the individual level within your own organization or outside. It has provided me with the opportunity to illustrate my knowledge within commercial real estate as well as advance and expand my overall knowledge base within the industry.
Wade C. O'Neil, Associate Investment Analyst, US Mortgage Origination
The CRI designation program offers the advantage of being specifically designed for commercial real estate investments. Being a lender for a Life Company that owns a sizeable portfolio of commercial real estate, the CRI designation was the best choice for me.
Thomas Higgins, Senior Mortgage Loan Analyst, American National Insurance Company

Upon successfully completing the examination and earning the Associate Designation, the Associate member can then apply for the Charter Designation. If approved by the CRI Society for the Charter Designation, the Charter candidate can enroll in the Level II examination. Upon successfully completing the Charter (Level II) examination, the candidate earns the CRI Charter Designation.
Exam Information
Once the applicant becomes an accepted candidate for either the CRI Associate (Level I) or Charter designation (Level II), the candidate is eligible to enroll in the designation program. The fee to enroll in each level of the designation program is $1,150. Detailed enrollment information will be provided upon acceptance.
Once enrolled, the candidate will be given access to MBA's learning management system, which houses the exams, study guides, reference materials, and practice tests. Each candidate has 12 months from enrollment to study and pass each examination.
