Mike Fratantoni, Ph.D. is MBA’s Chief Economist and Senior Vice President of Research and Industry Technology. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing MBA’s industry surveys, benchmarking studies, economic and mortgage originations forecasts, industry technology efforts and policy development research for both single-family and commercial/multifamily markets. Additionally, Fratantoni is president and member of the Board of Directors of MISMO and serves on the CSP’s Industry Advisory Group and the membership committee of MERS. Prior to joining MBA, Fratantoni worked in the industry in risk management and senior economist roles at Washington Mutual and Fannie Mae.

Duane Gilkison is a Senior Director of Credit Risk Management in the Loan Quality Center within the Single-Family Mortgage Business. He leads several teams within the Loan Quality Center, including a portion of the Quality Control Specialist organization who partners with Fannie Mae customers on improving quality control and loan manufacturing processes. In addition, he leads the team responsible for remedying ineligible loans with customers. Gilkison’s previous roles at Fannie Mae have included overseeing the technology organization responsible for Fannie Mae’s loan quality platform utilized for internal quality reviews and by Fannie Mae customers. Prior to joining Fannie Mae in 2010, Gilkison served as the Senior Vice President, Asset Quality for PNC Financial Services (FKA National City Mortgage). Gilkison holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Wright State University.
Stephen Nally is a Senior Director in Single Family Quality Control at Freddie Mac leading remedy/repurchase management, internal underwriting policies and procedures, loan file management, and business process improvement initiatives within the department. He has 35 years of experience in the financial services and consulting industries, including over 25 years with Freddie Mac where he has served in multiple leadership roles in quality control, product development, and third-party risk management.
